Family Rooms

Three gorgeous living rooms, one treasured community. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the family rooms of three home plans within the Liberty Park neighborhood decorated by Erin Dunavant of SWAG Home Staging & Design.

1) The Miner in Forest Hills
This cozy room is filled with rustic details that Birmingham families can’t get enough of—take a look at the wood skins from Evolutia covering the feature fireplace wall and tray ceiling. Plus, we love the detail of the nailhead-trimmed sofa and Regina Andrew Chandelier.

Erin’s favorite feature: The framed photos on the wall, which were pulled from the basement of the Birmingham Library.

2) The Lowrey in Heritage Hills
Elegant and spacious, the Lowrey living room brings in fresh colors and textures for a traditional feel that fits today’s lifestyle. How inviting are those tall ceilings and grand windows that look out over the back porch?

Erin’s favorite feature: The built-in bookshelves that allow you to personalize the home with family photos, favorite books, and keepsakes.

3) The Essex in The Hill
From the tufted sofas to the pops of turquoise throughout, this family room is modern, yet comfortable. The coffered ceiling adds an unexpected architectural detail to the room, and the oversized leather chair and soft rug couldn’t be cozier.

Erin’s favorite feature: The openness of the room—with direct access to the kitchen and covered porch, this room is quickly going to become the headquarters of the home.
