Living in the south, many of us love infusing warm, rustic design into our home. Houses that embody this character, such as The Miner home plan in Liberty Park, are always a standout amongst Birmingham homebuyers.
We’re taking a closer look at The Miner, a 5 bedroom/4 bathroom home located in Liberty Park’s newest neighborhood of Forest Hills.
What many don’t know is that Liberty Park was built upon a working coal mine from the 1900s. With its rustic, industrial-inspired interior, The Miner translates its rich history into livable design.
“Erin Dunavant of SWAG Home Staging & Design has found a way to embody the inspiration of Birmingham’s mining history with a style that is modern and comfortable,” explains Amanda Parker with Liberty Park.
Amanda explains that the flowing floor plan and two story entry way make for a functional living space, while the use of reclaimed wood and exposed brick adds natural elegance.
“I particularly love the home’s unexpected elements, like the treehouse in the upstairs loft and the Murphy Bed in the front study,” says Amanda. “These really set The Miner apart from other homes.”
Another standout of The Miner is its expansive kitchen, which is centered around an exposed brick island large enough for guests to gather around while the host whips up a delicious dinner.
“I personally love to cook,” says Amanda. “And the way this kitchen was designed makes the chef the star.”
